Spooks Safe House

....... then and now.

This is the most Spook-type fun you can have without being arrested or putting your life in danger......well not much.

If you've been here before, I have made a page just showing the newest additions. See the link at the bottom of the page

With the exception of a trip to the City and then on to Brick Lane, most of these were taken without going out of my way from journeys to work, cinema or theatre during the summer of 2006. I made that a rule because otherwise it would be a little obsessive .........wouldn't it?!

It's impossible to get exactly the same angle as some of the screen grabs because I was hardly going to carry a dolly or crane with me all the time and I only used the most basic of digital cameras with one lens.

The project is by no means complete and I still have my notes with me if I chance upon one of the more obscure places. In March 2007 I grabbed my chance at the Royal Opera House and I always keep an eye on the tides at the South Bank in hopes I might get Tom and Christine's beach and in August 07 I think I managed it. I keep forgetting some of the easier ones like the Aquarium.

There are some locations which I recognise but will mean a special trip so I may add at a later date. It is with great joy that I finally discovered what I believe is the original site used for The Grid and some other interiors for Series One. We know from the commentaries that it is now a swanky appartment complex and The Grid is shot in the studio these days.

I long to find at least one of Tom's homes and I suspect the one from the first series (with Maisie) is in Blackheath or thereabouts. I shall make a trip out there one day.

Originally, I started this as a live journal because some of the shots had stories to go with them and all the shots were just in the order that I took them.
Now I have finally put them in series order so I hope it makes more sense.

FYI, I have not researched beyond Tom's departure!

In each case the screen grab is on the left of the circa 2006 snap.
